iPad Air Battery is Magnificent
I’ve had the iPad Air (5th gen) now for going on two months and I can say, without a doubt, this iPad has the best battery life of any iPad I’ve owned (I’ve had all except the iPad 4). The iPad 3 had the worst battery life — it would barely get me through a full day of heavy usage. The iPad 3 was the first iPad with Retina screen which was a power suck. After a heavy day of usage with the iPad Air, I still typically have over 50 percent battery remaining. With moderate usage I often have 85 percent remaining. By far, the iPad Air is the best iPad I’ve ever owned (1,2,3, Mini). The size/weight relationship is fantastic. I can’t speak to the iPad Mini Retina but after having a non-Retina Mini, I found it too small for my liking.
So, if you’re wondering if the iPad will last through a full day of usage — the answer is unequivocally yes. In fact, I’ve yet to have any users complain about iPad battery life on any device. You can count on a full day of service with an iPad..
