“Tablets for Business – Move Ahead of the Competition”

Nice post by Mike over at Tech Bubbles about using tablets in business. Mike notes of one group of business users – a third aren’t giving tablets a thought, a third are thinking they’ll do something [with tablets] one day, and a third are already using tablets [to outperform the competition].

The key to outwitting competitors comes from finding niche use specific to your business. Something that will cut costs, increase revenue or raise competitive edge.

Something like this can save you significant time, while reducing the costs of entering data and improving your speed and accuracy.

One company claims savings of a half an hour per person per week now they’ve moved from clipboards to tablets: with 16 workers, that translates to a full day’s time saving each week, or approximately [$30k] saving per year. In addition, they’ve got better / faster / cheaper / more accurate data entry, and increased competitive edge …

So how about you? Are you using tablet technology in the field to outperform you competition? Which category are you in – haven’t thought about it, thinking about it, or done it?
